an era when prominent composers and performers came together to enrich musical life across Europe. The concert’s subtitle, “An Austrian in Bohemia, Czechs in Italy, an Italian in Austria,” aptly captures this European cultural exchange of the 18th century, and the evening will be hosted by actor and presenter Justin Svoboda.
Less well-known concert works will be performed by top-tier soloists. An Italian violin virtuoso will perform Mysliveček’s Violin Concerto in C major, and Jitka Hosprová will play the rarely performed Viola Concerto by Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf. The Wranitzky Kapelle, an orchestra specializing in 18th-century music, will also perform works by F. L. Gassmann and A. Salieri.
The festival explores the unique intersections of music, visual art, and Prague's rich history. Every evening is carefully crafted to be truly one of a kind, and it is precisely this dedication that guarantees its exclusivity. Leading Czech and international musicians, ensembles, and performing artists take the stage, complemented by remarkable exhibitions in some of the city's most captivating venues.
